Periodic properties of chemical elements
Periodic properties of elements - part I atomic radius, atomic volume, the law of periodicity
Periodic properties of elements - part I atomic radius, atomic volume, the law of periodicity
The most simple of the periodic properties of chemical elements are described in this video, namely atomic radius and atomic volume. In the upcoming parts, more complex periodic properties of the chemical elements, such as electronegativity, ionisation energy and electron affinity will be described. The latter are dependant on the more simple properties described in this video. The law of periodicity described in this video governs all periodic properties of elements.
Periodic properties of chemical elements part III 1
Periodic properties of chemical elements part III 1
The first half of part III (the final part of this series) states how chemical reactivity varies across the periodic table and gives very detailed explanations about the chemical property of burning. This includes the definition of Gibb's law, enthalpy and entropy.
